Envisioning the New Normal in Higher Education

Rising costs, rising expectations Ñ what does it mean for universities across the nation?

On Wednesday, Feb. 22, California State University, Fullerton, will further the dialogue on some of the most pressing issues facing higher education by hosting a daylong PresidentÕs Symposium, ÒAppraising the Future, Understanding Costs: Envisioning the New Normal in Higher Education.Ó

National experts on education, politics and public policy will address state and national goals for degree attainment, cost analyses of higher education, e-learning and challenges to current educational models, as well as the political landscape for higher education. In addition, poll results showing how Orange County business leaders feel about costs for higher education will be presented.

The 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PresidentÕs Symposium will be held at the Fullerton Marriott at Cal State Fullerton, located on the southeast corner of the campus.
