A team which did not go through the 2013 NCAA tournament has finally achieved first rank in the 2013-14 NCAA season. Exactly, the last shot of Aaron Harrison made the way for the wildcats to face Connecticut team for the championship. Kentucky was playing against Wisconsin Badgers when the last shot changed its fate.

The coach of Kentucky John Calipari said in an interview to a private TV channel that “Whosoever would get the ball in the last could win the game through his game-winning shot. And this is what Aaron Harrison did against the Wisconsin.

Besides, Wildcats were seeded at 8 in their 16 team region and supposed to be the lowest seeding team to reach the championship game. On the other hand, Connecticut was the first seventh seed in the last 36 years to make through the title game.

It goes without saying that both of these teams had not been in finals since the year of 1966 and they were failed to come in the tournament last season. It is said that the combined seeding of Connecticut and Kentucky is the lowest one since the NCAA tournament began to seeding teams.

The championship game is scheduled for tomorrow at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
