The shooter of Fort Hood was not a criminal but a soldier. He had a deep and prolonged history of mental breakdown. It is said that he was being diagnosed for post traumatic stress syndrome. When he was leaving from Iraq, he reported that he had serious mental injury.
On the other hand, Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley said in his press conference that “he did not have any action in Iraq”. He further said that I am reviewing the security measures and trying my best to provide full security to soldiers.
It goes without saying that the shooter had also brought his wife to crime scene. He shot himself when Military police intercepted him in the parking. The most important thing of the tragic incident is that “he killed 4 soldiers and injured 16 others with his 45-caliber semi-automatic pistol”.
